LIMITED EDITION of 101 numbered copies, this is number 4. The text of this miniature book "is an extract from David Thomas's Travels Through the Western Country in the Summer of 1816 including Notices of the Natural History, Topography, Commerce, Antiquities, Agriculture and Manufactures… (Auburn, NY: Printed by David Rumsey, 1819)." Colophon. The book was printed on a Vandercook SP-15, bound by Paul Brown with assistance from Stephen Cape; the type is Bembo with Italic and the paper is Somerset. Paul Brown teaches letterpress and book arts at Indiana University Bloomington, Indiana. He runs the Brown Trout Press and has been a faculty member at the Hamilton Wood Type Museum of Two Rivers Wisconsin since 2015.
