SECOND EDITION of this very SCARCE miniature chapbook for children that recounts the life of the Savior in a colloquial style. Not listed in Bradbury, who relied on the thesis submitted to the School of Library Science, Southern Connecticut State College by Francis Gagliardi entitled The Babcocks of New Haven, Connecticut: Printers, Publishers and Booksellers with a Bibliographical Checklist of Their Publications, 1795-1858, which also did not find a copy of this title. The American Antiquarian Society lists an edition with the same imprint, except dated 1832. The website "19th Century Juvenile Series," writing about the Babcock firm, notes that the Babcocks frequently reprinted many of their small chapbooks for children from year to year.
REFERENCE: Not in Bradbury or Gagliardi, The Babcocks of New Haven, Connecticut. Worldcat shows one copy held at the American Antiquarian Society, dated 1832.
