Facsimile Reprint of the earliest known American edition of Cinderella, published by Mathew Carey in Philadelphia in 1800. This volume is a photolithographic facsimile by the private press of C. F. Braun & Co., in Alhambra, California, and faithfully recreates the tones of the pages of the original 1800 edition used in the reproduction. Carey Stillman Bliss (1914-1994), a rare books expert and the curator of rare books at the Huntington Library, contributed an introductory note explaining the history and context of Carey's edition.
