LIMITED EDITION of 300 copies, this is number 10. Jane Apostol was a historian of California, and in particular Los Angeles and Pasadena. She was also a member of the Zamorano Club. Her husband Tom Apostol was Greek, and Jane's interest in his Greek heritage is the origin of this book. Apostol walks the reader through Greek folk lore and the many unsavory creatures that might accost a traveler, and provides information on how to protect oneself, including carrying around the title's blue beads and garlic.
