Petersen (illustrated), facsimile reprint (including ads) of Newhall's Glimpse; text clean, unmarked. Gilt-stamped green cloth that reproduces the color of that paper used in the original publication, dust-jacket reproduces the front and rear covers of the original second edition in archival mylar; binding square and tight, white stain to front cover bleeds through to the jacket, fore-edge bumped. Petersen provides an overview of what is known of the life and times of John B. Newhall, "the most influential promoter of Iowa prior to 1850."
