Maroon cloth over boards, spine titled in gilt over a black field; binding square and tight. Fine. This is a facsimile reprint of Hans Sallander's catalogue of Erik Waller's collection of books on medicine and science. Waller (1875-1955) was a Swedish surgeon whose expansive collection of 20,000 books is considered one of the world's greatest and most complete collections of medical history. Before his death he donated the collection to Uppsala University, where librarian Sallander catalogued the entire collection in two volumes.
