LIMITED EDITION of 100 copies., this is number 11. Designed and Printed for Tony Appleton by Christopher Skelton at Skelton's Press, Wellingborough. Pamphlet. 10 1/8 x 5 5/8 inches. Unpaginated. [12] pp. Text clean, unmarked. Red printed French-fold wrappers, stitched; binding square and tight, light shelf wear. INSCRIBED by Tony Appleton, the British book seller, to Jake Zeitlin, with Zeitlin's ownership signature and date inside the front cover. Very Good. Appleton remarks: "This short piece, not recorded by Carter, Handover, or indeed in my own recently published handlist of Morison's writings, was kindly drawn to my attention by Nial Devitt. It is reproduced by permission of the British Council from the original article which appeared in Britain To-day, number 53, 16 May 1941." Tony Appleton was a British book seller who specialized in typography and Stanley Morison, and who issued the important The Writings of Stanley Morison, A Handlist, (1976).
