Printed wrappers in yellow, red, and black, black-and-white photographic illustrations on both covers inside and out, stapled; minor shelf wear and corner bumping, lightly creased. Very Good. history of the Santa Barbara Mission from its founding in 1786 to 1929. Describes chronologically the major historical, architectural, and artistic features of the mission, and gives a history of early missionary California. Contains a list of relevant Spanish and Native American words and their translations, and a list of the old missions of California. With many half-tone photographic illustrations of the Mission from as early as 1872. Revised by Rev. Augustine Hobrecht.
