(25), [3] pp. Title-page vignette, chapter numbers with decorative roman numerals, printer’s device on the colophon, printed on laid paper; text un-marked, occasional light foxing. White parchment paper over boards, gilt-titled black paper spine label, plain white dust-jacket; binding square and tight, dust-jacket toned with shelf wear. Very Good. Monroe Deutsch (1879-1955) was Professor of Philosophy and Latin at the University of California, Berkeley, and was later Provost and Vice-President of the University of California.
