LIMITED EDITION of 500 copies printed at the Stinehour Press. 8vo. 10 3/4 x 7 1/4 inches. vi, 182 pp. Half-title, title page printed in blue and black, 2 tipped-in samples of printing, a few color illustrations, index; text clean, unmarked. Blue cloth, spine titled in silver, dust-jacket in archival mylar; binding square and tight. Fine. This book contains extracts from the important correspondence between Updike (1860-1941) and Ruzicka (1883-1978) which reveals the closeness between them. They collaborated on many important books such as the Grolier Club's Newark. The book also shows that Ruzicka provided a great deal of advice and help in the writing of Updike's landmark book Printing Types.
