Printed by William E. Rudge's Son, Inc. 12mo. 5 x 3 1/2 inches. 39 pp. 6 woodcut illustrations; text clean, unmarked. Pictorial paper over boards, cloth spine; binding square and tight, shelf wear. Very Good. A nicely designed and illustrated edition of the classic fairytale, designed by Helen Gentry and illustrated by Arville Parker. The text is set to mimic the content of the story, winding its way through the pages and illustrations like a beanstalk. Gentry was a printer, book designer, and typographer who in addition to having her own press worked for Simon and Schuster and Harper & Brothers. She learned her trade at the Grabhorn Press in San Francisco.
