Pamphlet. 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches. 56 pp. Black-and-white illustrations throughout, double-page map of San Luis Obispo County, list of Ranchos and Private Land Grants of the Mexican Period in San Luis Obispo County for which United States Patents were Issued; text clean, unmarked. Yellow illustrated wrappers, stapled; binding square and tight, some soiling to the covers. Very Good. W. W. Robinson wrote many pamphlets, articles, and books on Southern California History, including Ranchos Become Cities (1939); Land in California (1948); Los Angeles, A Profile (1968), and Bombs and Bribery (1969). This pamphlet on San Luis Obispo County is one of a series on the history of Southern California Counties that Robinson wrote during his career at the Title Guarantee Insurance Company as a property title researcher.
