LIMITED EDITION of 500 copies, designed by Harold N. Seeger, press work by Lawton R. Kennedy, printed on mold-made paper. 8vo. 9 3/8 x 6 1/4 inches. (x), 103,  pp. Frontispiece, title page printed red and yellow border and a red and yellow vignette, the red and yellow border recurs as a head piece for sections, decorative initials, 10 black-and-white illustrations; text clean, unmarked. Orange printed wrappers; binding square and tight, small tear on the fore edge of the front cover, upper corner of rear cover dog-eared, minor bruises to edges. Prospectus laid in. "Library of Pauline M. Kohlrausch" inside front cover. Very Good. The author worked in the Yosemite Museum Library and was a docent at Yosemite Museum for many years. Here she seeks to provide historical information about the Yosemite Indians and early Anglo settlers. Enclosed with this book is a Johnck & Seeger prospectus for a hardcover edition of this title limited to 400 copies which includes the address for Johnck & Seeger and the text "Make checks payable to Johnck & Seeger." All references to Johnck & Seeger have been crossed out, and written in pencil and ink are the following comments, likely written by hand by Harold Seeger, "The other edition - 500 copies - has a fine paper cover and sells for $1.00 per copy. Mr. Johnck died 1 1/2 years ago, I feel his going deeply."
