Thomas Orlando Sheldon Jewitt (1799-1869) was an English wood-engraver who specialized in Gothic architecture. His delicate work was familiar to generations of Victorians, but it has had no recognition since he died, and records of him are very slight. Harry Carter brings to light what can be known of Jewitt and his work.
