Vizetelly; text clean, un-marked. Maroon leatherette, gilt-spine; binding square and tight. Brand-new copy; was in publisherâ€™s shrink wrap until I removed it to create this catalog record. Fine. Henry Vizetelly was an English publisher, born in London in 1820. He and his brothers were important correspondents, illustrators and promoters of penny illustrated magazines. Henry Vizetellyâ€™s interest in wines led to the publication of several books, including The Wines of the World Characterized & classed: With Some Particulars Respecting the Beers of Europe (1875) and Facts About Champagne and Other sparkling Wines Collected During Numerous Visits to the Champagne and Other Viticultural Districts of France, and the Principal Remaining Wine-Producing Counties of Europe (1879).
