Brown cloth, gilt spine; binding square and tight. Fine. Brightly's work first appeared in 1809; Hodgson's in 1820. Brightly's work is a mere pamphlet, and is extremely rare in the wild; it was the earliest public account of the process invented by Lord Stanhope. Hodgson in turn was the foremost authority on the topic of stereotype printing in 1820 England.
