[vi], (24) pp. Half-title, errata and addenda tipped in on the copyright page, index, bibliography; text clean, unmarked. Printed blue wrappers, yapp edges, stapled; binding square and tight, minor toning and wear to edges. Very Good (if not near fine). This work tells the story of the origins of the Chabolla grant in southern Sacramento County and northern San Joaquin County and the ownership of the property. Baxter Sperry was married in 1931 and divorced her husband several years later. She took various degrees at Universities throughout California, worked for the federal government as a teacher and writer, and wrote extensively on Mexican settlement in Northern California. This is one of a series of books Sperry wrote about Mexican land grants in Sacramento County. 15 copies Worldcat.
