Josiah Clark Nott was an American physician who made important contributions to the epidemiology of yellow fever and malaria. Nott's racial theories supported American slavery; Nott posited that each race was a separate species. Charles Darwin cited Nott's racial theories to refute them and assert that the human races were a single species. An excellent working copy from the private collection of Richard Popkin, Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at UCLA. Your order receives my personal attention.
