LIMITED EDITION of "approximately" 100 copies printed for complimentary distribution to the members of the Roxburghe Club of San Francisco. 8vo. 240 x 164 mm. [ii], (11), [1 blank] pp. Title-page colored drawing of the building at Number 642 Commercial Street, the home of the Grabhorn Press by Arvilla Parker, 3 reproductions of early San Francisco lithographs, 2 full-page facsimiles, one of the California Star for January 9, 1847, the other from a lithograph of the Grand Plaza, San Francisco, printed on green paper; text clean, un-marked. This is one of a few copies bound in glazed burgundy wrappers with a color pictorial label on the front cover; binding tight, the spine is chipped and split at the rear hinge. This copy has a typed letter, SIGNED by David Magee, the San Francisco bookseller, on Magee's letterhead, to Roby Wentz, Los Angeles author, historian and book collector, offering Wentz a copy of this title (perhaps this copy?). Good. Hand set in Janson type, on machine-made paper. Reference: Heller and Magee, Bibliography of the Grabhorn Press, 1915-1940, No. 206.
