LIMITED EDITION of 125 copies printed by Reuben Pearson with the author's permission for friends of Lawrence Clark Powell. Pamphlet. 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches. [ii], ii, 7, [1] pp. Title-page printed in black and green inks, "A Note on Lawrence Durrell" by Lawrence Clark Powell; text clean, unmarked. Plain tan wrappers with green covers, printed paper top cover label, stitched; binding square and tight, some light wear to extremities, else Fine. This essay was first published in Middle East Anthology, London, 1946. Lawrence Durrell was an expatriate British novelist, poet, dramatist and travel writer. Powell reprinted this piece because of his respect for Durrell's talents as a stylist and because of the affinity of the climate of Corfu and that of Southern California.
